The perfect wine for spicy food lovers
Do you love a kick of heat in your food? We know, that’s why we made Nightfall, a blend of white Spanish grapes made with a touch of sweetness, perfect for cutting through when the food kicks too hard (does it ever though?) Nightfall is round and silky, and semi-sweet—it’s the perfect chaser for the heat you bring in the kitchen.
On the nose, sweet peach and pineapple are followed by an unctuous honeyed note, a weighty palate, and a toasted almond finish.
SPAIN hits the sweet spot
Spain is known for making full-bodied white wines with lots of depth and character. Something about the sun in Spain hits these grapes differently, and that’s definitely true for Nightfall. The sunshine coaxes flavor out in the grapes, raises the sugar, and smooths out the tannins. Then, after the sun goes down, cool air moves in to allow grapes to retain their freshness, and this is the literal sweet spot for the white wines of Spain.
Feeling spicy? Here are your food pairings
It’s the Bonnie & Clyde of cuisine: a semi-sweet wine and a dish that packs heat. So don’t hold back on the pepper or the sauce when you’re cooking it up or ordering in. Our favorite pairings with Nightfall are Szechuan chicken, jambalaya, jerk tofu, and chilaquiles.
